Van Der Woude Syndrome – A Report Of Two Cases
Abstract
Two cases of Van der Woude syndrome, which presented in a mother and son are reported. The occurrence of isolated cleft palate in a sibling supports the evidence that Van der Woude syndrome is associated with a dominant autosomic gene of high penetrance and variable expressively. The occurrence of Van der Woude in some members of the same family with its untold financial and socio-psychological burden is discussed.
