Crohn's disease revealed by duodenal stenosis: About one case
Abstract
Crohn's disease can affect the entire digestive tract; however, it is rare to be presented with a duodenal involvement complicated by stenosis. Here, we report a case of a 27-year-old woman who began her Crohn’s disease with symptomatic duodenal stenosis, with repercussions on the general condition. The diagnosis was confirmed by gastrointestinal endoscopy and the patient was operated on after failure of medical treatment. She has benefited from a gastroenteroanastomosis and the postoperative follow-up was favourable.
