Peer Review
BNR Economic Review has clearly defined review policy, as summarize the Author Information Pack. BNR Economic Review uses a ‘double blind’ reviewing system, in which both the referees and authors remain anonymous to one another throughout and after the refereeing process. Referees are selected based on their expertise. At least two referees provide their assessment on the originality of ideas and methods, soundness of methodology, clarity of results and relevance of conclusions, observance of research ethics, and contribution to knowledge.
Correction of language is not part of the review process, but reviewers may suggest corrections. In some cases, a manuscript may be returned to the author(s) during initial submission for revision of language and style.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
BNR Economic Review has a Gold Open Access policy. BNR Economic Review provides immediate open access to all of its articles on the National Bank of Rwanda’s website (www.bnr.rw), and does not require that authors pay an article processing fee.
All articles in BNR Economic Review are published with an ISBN and using Creative Commons Attribution -NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) licence which allows others to copy, distribute, and display the original work for non-commercial purposes, but ensures that they must give authors full credit.
